A short presentation by Julia Nikolaus (Leicester) and Niccolò Mugnai (Leicester) on the role archives can play in counteracting the illicit antiquities trade.

The presentation followed on from a workshop held mainly in Arabic on Illicit Trafficking of Antiquities in Libya, hosted by the BSR for the Libyan Department of Antiquities, and sponsored by Oberlin College, the US Department of State, the BSR, the American Academy in Rome and the Society for Libyan Studies. The workshop took place from 9.00 to 18.00.
